Box Elder County commissioners renewed a cooperative law enforcement patrol contract with the U.S. Forest Service on Wednesday while acknowledging that the current ,000 reimbursement cap no longer reflects actual patrol costs. The contract allows the sheriff’s office to patrol National Forest System lands within the county, including areas of the Cache National Forest and the Sawtooth National Forest.
