Australian Wine ‘Shiraz’ Paired with a Creamy Australian Cheddar

David Kohl loves to pair wines with cheese and today finds that a creamy Australian Cheddar brings out the best qualities of the ruggedly fruity Australian Shiraz grown in The Clare Valley with maritime proximity to the southern coastline. Many consumers may not realize that ‘Shiraz’ is actually the French grape Syrah brought to Australia in the 1800s by James Busby who is known as The Father of Australia’s Wine Industry.
