Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas spoke before the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and was eviscerated by Senator Josh Hawley for an incident concerning a DHS employee who posted an image on a burner Instagram account of a Hamas paraglider with a machine gun flying into Israel. Hawley was infuriated that the DHS had not fired the employee for her anti-Semitic comments. Later in the hearing, Mayorkas confirmed that the Biden administration has allowed over 600,000 known "gotaways" to illegally cross into the country, putting Americans at risk of another terrorist attack.
