Discovering Love's Purpose for Your Life - A Quick Meditation!

from Your Daily Devotional: GoOD Mornings with CurlyNikki

When you try to focus on two things at once, your mind falls quiet.  Today's Quote:  "God works as bridge builders, coal miners, teachers, salesmen, lawyers, artists, ministers; and it is God, the infinite Intelligence, at the center of our being, which determine our special form of expression.  To know what Its destiny is for us, we must touch this center within us in meditation." - Joel Goldsmith, The Art of Meditation  Today's Practice: (comes from Frank Kinslow via the Diamond Sutras) Take your right forefinger and place it on your right thigh. Become aware of the sensations-- is it hot, cold, smooth, or rough? Can you feel your pulse in your finger? Now, take your left forefinger and place it on your left thigh.  Become aware of the sensations-- is it hot, cold, smooth, or rough? Can you feel your pulse in your finger?  Now try to pay attention to BOTH points of contact, your left finger touching your left thigh and your right finger touching your right thigh.  And then drop down into your body. Notice the Silence that is now seemingly louder.  Stay (t)here.  Hear the Silence and feel the Love in the Silence. Feel the Silence AS Love.  With practice, you won't need to try to pay attention to two different sensations simultaneously, you'll be able to immediately shift your attention to the Silent Love.  This is meditation. This is your center.  Your purpose unfolds from here.   I love you,  Nik [email protected]  Support the show Beginning Aug 7, 2023 - 'GoOD Mornings with CurlyNikki' will host pre and post roll ads within the back catalogue.
