Do I Have the Love I Had At First?

from For The One · host Nicole

The Spirit revealed to me through a friend in a word of knowledge, that I had an unknown idol of "wanting to be on the right side of God." A request that's been heavy on my mind and heart, a request that is not in and of itself a wrong desire, but I had been placing that over and as more important than being in God's presence. "You must continually let my love nourish your hearts," these are Jesus' words in John 15:9. If that ceases, it is really easy to not love your neighbors or pray for your enemies. So, that scripture points to the fact that if I am waning in experiencing and receiving God's love for me, it will be increasingly difficult to extend love to others and continue to bear good fruit. If I lose the love and affection I had for Him at first, the pruning will exhaust me to a point of wanting to give up. In order for me to let love be the beautiful prize for which I run, I have to seek and receive the nourishment of God's love in my heart, continually. SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK: Revelation 2:4 & John 15:1-17Auri NutritionFor 10% off your first subscription or one-time order at Auri Nutrition use code "NICOLEMMERLINO"Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.
