On this episode, I talk about a failed insurrection against the German government in 1923, known as The Beer Hall Putsch.  I discuss how there was little accountability with that and how Adolf Hitler, a former German soldier at the time incited it.  It left four police officers dead, and 16 Nazi Germans dead.  Hitler failed, but a decade later he would be the ruler, dictator of the country.  Then, I compare it to the January 6th insurrection and how our democratic republic is under attack.  I conclude the segment with a startling piece from David Atkins, a member of the California Democratic National Committee and a contributor to The Washington Monthly.  He joins me for an interview about the piece, the status quo of the Republican party, and more.
