Welcome to episode #105 - Ópalo Ópalo is the alias of Alejandro Romero Jordan, an Ecuadorian producer based in Quito. Half Peruvian and half Ecuadorian from his mother's side, he is one of the most unknown exponents on the Ecuadorian scene, also getting along with some experimental acts like Rojo or Pinxame which are some of the upcoming artists in the underground scene. The ambient and electronic experimentations of Ópalo combine jazz, downtempo beats and also samples from folk music in his last compositions. Inspired by the sound of the 90's, Ópalo digs ambient music with melodic keyboards to make the audience reach a deep state of contemplation, appearing on labels and podcast series such as @caracteresrecordlabel, @secuencias_temporales, @itsdelayed, @futurepastnosenseoftime, and many others.
