ECM Agrees with James Fry's CPO Forecast of RM2,600 per tonne

from Market Watch · host BFM Media

ECM Libra Research agrees with LMC Chairman James Fry's forecast for crude palm oil to fall to RM2,600 per tonne by June 2011. And, the outcome of UN climate negotiators meeting this week in Mexico to debate protecting tropical rainforests, is not likely to be serious.Views of James Fry and Dorab Mistry are for different timelines hence not comparable. In early November, Dorab Mistry had said that palm oil might see gains of more than 3% in the next few weeks to RM3,300 per tonne. Her price outlook crude palm oil for near term is close to RM4,000 per tonne level in next two to three months in anticipation of a serious shortage of supply, which should even out by mid-next year.
