Thank you Elandas Miller for joining me today on the Born To Talk Radio Show Podcast.

Elandas.

Elandas Miller is the CEO/Founder of  Kicking It Sports.   He formed his company in order to bring his passions of business and sports together. He felt that the secret to being successful in business is doing something that you love and enjoy even when you’re not getting paid for it in the beginning.

Elandas started playing sports at the age of 4 and enjoyed spending time with his friends. Once he graduated college, he believed that his life lacked physical and social activity. He was not involved in the community like he was while attending The University of Georgia.

Kicking It Sports was created to help adults tap into their inner child while also helping them get exercise, meet new people, and take a break from the everyday stresses of life and work. Elandas has hosted over 10 events since the beginning of Kicking It Sports back in 2017.  When was the last time you were throwing a frisbee with a group of friends?

Entrepreneur. Hoodie CEO.

Like many other businesses, the pandemic had a huge impact on his industry. Events halted during the shutdowns so he decided to pivot and create a new business called Hoodie CEO. Hoodie CEO is a digital informational products business to help aspiring entrepreneurs launch their own businesses and ideas with limited capital. He hopes to break the thought process of needing tons of dollars to pursue your dreams. Although bootstrapping can be hard, he believes that the journey is where the true fun is when starting a business.

Advice.

Being an entrepreneur has its ups and downs, but it is more fun than anything. His favorite part is being able to be on a journey of never-ending learning, meeting new people with inspiring dreams/goals and creating his vision one step at a time. When he’s not working on his business, you can find him traveling, spending time with friends, doing yoga, working out at the gym, hanging out with his family, or taking a walk somewhere in his neighborhood or a park in Atlanta.

Takeaways.

Aspiring entrepreneurs should know that a business is a great way to make money while pursuing your passions, but the ultimate takeaway is looking for ways that you can bring value to your ideal customers. The three main takeaways from my ebook, 10 Steps to Start a Business with Less than $500 are Knowing Your Customer, Creating Your Community, and Leveraging Relationships. He also offers a course on this subject.

In Closing.

Elandas is a positive impact on his Atlanta community with events that have included field day games, musical performances, and food vendors.  His vibrant personality and desire to help others are evident in this podcast. He wants to find ways to help others by offering a helping hand.  The sky’s the limit!  I look forward to following his journey.
