Kidneys are one of our body's vital organs. They produce urine, but their main role is removing waste and excess fluids in our bodies. They filter 1/5 of our blood every day and remove all the toxins it contains. Kidneys also regulate the balance of important nutrients in our bodies, such as calcium and potassium. And has a key part in the production of red blood cells, pH balance and even our fight or flight response. Yet, the efficiency of our kidneys decreases as we age. As we grow older and as more unhealthy food we consume, the more damage it causes to our kidneys. Stay tuned as we go over how we can flush out toxins and remove waste from our kidneys.
