Ep 3 Mocktails to Order When Going Out

from Thriving Alcohol-Free with Mocktail Mom · host Deb, Mocktail Mom

Have you ever thought about what it will be like when you go out for the first time after you decide to break up with alcohol? Maybe you are feeling nervous or worried. What will people think of you? What will you order? Will anyone notice that you’re drinking something else than everyone at the table?Weeks after I made a decision to be free from alcohol, I went out to a restaurant. I almost fell off the wagon because the restaurant didn’t really have any alcohol-free options, and my automatic answer to the question “What will you drink?” was a “Glass of Chardonnay.” That’s why in this podcast episode, I want to prepare you for that experience of going out sober for the first time. I talk about what it was like for me, how to get your mind ready, what you can order without feeling like a kid, and I give you a list of a few simple mocktails you ask any bartender to prepare you.In this episode, I chat about:First time when I went out to a restaurant after I broke up with alcoholWhat to think about when going out and not falling off the wagonHow do people react when I say I broke up with alcoholList of alcohol-free drinks that you can ask the bartender to make youConnect with Deb:Instagram: @mocktail.momJoin my private sober drinking club for women, Thriving Alcohol-Free Website: www.mocktailmom.comQuote:“If you're feeling nervous or worried about what people will think, they won’t even know.
