Ep 8: Arrival Fallacy

from Khens Lens Podcast · host khensk

Ever achieved something and felt so dissatisfied or burnt out after? Same, you're not alone. In this episode, I discuss the phenomenon of what is known as the 'arrival fallacy'. A concept where happiness is thought to be a destination, rather than a journey. The New Year's buzz comes with fleeting feelings of motivation, determination, and ambition. It is the most common time for people to start setting goals, in hopes to chase the joy and fulfillment they felt they lacked the year before. But that's exactly where the illusion is. As the year kicks off, it is important to note that your goals will not always equate to happiness but in this episode, I show you how the warning signs of the 'arrival fallacy' and how to not let that get you down so you can smash your goals for the year, even if you don't feel like it.
