Episode 101: Spiritually Stronger through Generosity

from Annie's MiniBFF Podcast · host That Sounds Fun Network

Most of you know I have this podcast for grownups called That Sounds Fun. On that podcast we are learning about how to become stronger in our relationship with God. Spiritually Stronger!  I was not about to leave out my miniBFFs for this journey! So... Welcome to the first ever theme on Annie’s miniBFF Podcast - Spiritually Stronger. Who's excited? Becoming Spiritually Stronger means we are going to focus on different disciplines throughout the year to help us grow even closer to Jesus. The word discipline might sound like a bad thing, but it’s not! A discipline is like a skill. If you wanted to be better at soccer you would go outside and practice every day. Some days you would practice dribbling the ball. Other days you might focus on goal kicks. But both are skills you learn that will help you grow in your ability to do well in soccer.  Well, that's basically how it works when you are growing closer to God. The more you pray, worship, and learn about God, the closer you get to Him. We want to sharpen those skills. Just like you would in playing soccer. Or whatever activity you love to do!  Let me say this - you are completely and totally loved and adored by God. These practices are not a way to earn His love. It is yours, no matter what you do each day.  But if you want to know Him even more than you do now, then I invite you to become stronger, spiritually, with me.  So, are you ready to grow spiritually stronger?  This episode is all about Generosity.
