In this episode of the Women with Fire Podcast, Sarah and Michelle talk about Dorcus, and her amazing example as she follows her own quest. They talk about having compassion, and focusing on changing individual lives, and finding our own talents that Heavenly Father has given us to fulfill our own quests. “Already the new men are dotted here and there all over the earth. Some, as I have admitted, are still hardly recognizable: but others can be recognized. Every now and then one meets them. Their very voices and faces are different from ours: stronger, quieter, happier, more radiant. They begin where most of us leave off. They are, I say, recognizable; but you must know what to look for. They will not be very like the idea of ‘religious people’ which you have formed from your general reading. They do not draw attention to themselves. You tend to think that you are being kind to them when they are really being kind to you. They love you more than other men do, but they need you less. ... They will usually seem to have a lot of time: you will wonder where it comes from. When you have recognized one of them, you will recognize the next one much more easily. And I strongly suspect (but how should I know?) that they recognize one another immediately and infallibly, across every barrier of color, sex, class, age, and even of creeds. In that way, to become holy is rather like joining a secret society. To put it at the very lowest, it must be great fun”" - C.S. Lewis "Our circle of influence wherever we are, is enough." -Sarah Allred "Those people who are doing things one by one, their joy is so much more full." - Michelle Gifford "It really comes down to knowing what the Lord wants you to do." -Michelle Gifford

Souls of the Christian Apostolate Souls of the Christian Apostolate Welcome to the SOCA (Souls of the Christian Apostolate) podcast. Our aim is to help you order your exterior and interior life to become a saint. Our recordings are typically informative and reflective dialogues about Catholic mysticism, tradition, doctrine, and evangelism. Our vision is the salvation of as many souls as possible from this century. SOCA is inspired by the spiritual classic, ''The Soul of the Apostolate'' by Dom Chautard: the grace of Christ is the foundation of evangelism, meaning prayer must be primary in making apostles. This nucleus of apostles will set the world on fire and save souls. Our mission is to form young men and women with disciplined prayer lives and tradition so they can be instruments of evangelism. SOCA is a 501c3 nonprofit organization of lay Catholics. This podcast fits SOCA's mission and vision as an effort to inspire saints through the interior life and tradition on a mass scale.
