Episode 23 : Muslim Asians in abusive relationships with Dr Aiman Zahoor

This episode concludes our love and relationship series , we feature Dr Aiman Zahoor a cosmetic surgeon and Pakistani Muslim . We discussed Asian Muslim women in abusive relationships . She shared some of her experience , and offered an insight into the dynamics of Muslim Asian marriages – she shared the fact that Muslim Asian women are not always able to talk openly about their emotions and that the women need more open spaces where they feel safe enough to be able to talk to other people especially when the women are being abused in their relationships Dr Aiman also offered some suggestions on ways that Muslim Asian women can get through abuse in relationships and how they can sustain themselves when faced with abuse in their relationships.
