Creativity Saved My Life- A Survival Story. Interview with Artist Margot Dermody, Part 1 Note: *If you have experienced a traumatic event such as a kidnapping or other violent act, please tune in to a different episode, listen with caution, or wait until next week's Part 2 episode where we will hear our featured artist talk about her artwork and journey after experiencing the traumatic car kidnapping that she describes in this episode. This interview also contains mild swearing, so please listen with headphones or wait to listen while children are not around. * Tune in to this special episode of the I Like Art Podcast where artist Margot Dermody shares-for the first time- her experience being kidnapped in the middle of the day and how she used her creative thinking skills to survive and get herself through this situation safely. Margot shares her story to shed light on the possibility of this happening to others with the hope of increasing situational awareness in others and preventing further crimes like this from happening. In this episode, Margot  also hints at how this event had led her into switching careers and following her heart's desire to becoming an artist (and she talks about her next chapter in the following episode, Part 2, to be aired next week). Tune in to hear Margot's incredible story, learn, and be inspired to keep going and follow your dreams.
