Episode 41: The Power of Vulnerability

from Las Locas Chronicles · host Las Locas Chronicles

Send us Fan MailIn this episode of Las Locas Chronicles, Jessica and Alexa get real real — talking about the power of vulnerability and what it truly costs (and rewards) to live with your heart open. From doing things scared of being criticized to sharing your story before someone else gets the “copyright,” this conversation is raw, honest, and deeply freeing. Because your story is your weapon — and a weapon is strategic. You’ve got to know when and how to use it.The Locas dive into moments when they’ve wanted to edit parts out of episodes but didn’t — because obedience to the Holy Spirit mattered more than perfection. They talk about:Peter stepping out of the boat when Jesus called him — fear and all.The risk and reward of being vulnerable.Jesus washing Judas’ feet even though He knew the betrayal was coming. The difference between walls and boundaries (hint: one locks people out, the other lets love in wisely). How to create safe spaces for vulnerability in women’s groups and ministries.Being vulnerable doesn’t mean being weak — it means being real in a world that values filters over faith. The Locas remind us that God never called us to do life alone. One nail, one plank, one story at a time — like Noah — we build something that can weather any storm. Tune in for laughter, conviction, and a reminder that the reward of vulnerability is never monetary… it’s heavenly.#LasLocasChronicles #ThePowerOfVulnerability #FaithPodcast #WomenInMinistry #AuthenticFaith #FaithOverFear #ChristianPodcast #JesusCentered #Transparency #MinistryMoments #LLCSeason3 #DoItScared #YourStoryMatters #FaithJourney

C.S. Lewis's The Last Battle St. Philip's Church: Charleston, SC Come join us on Wednesday nights as we explore the riches of C.S. Lewis’s marvelous book The Last Battle, which is the last of The Chronicles of Narnia. It is a remarkable book on multiple levels and was awarded the Carnegie Medal back in the 1950s when it was first published. The Last Battle has some themes in common with The Great Divorce and That Hideous Strength that will make it an excellent follow-up to those two books, and like them, it has some remarkable resonance with things going on in today’s culture. It is a book that is both theologically rich and poignantly beautiful in its writing, and it can help equip us to live boldly for Christ in a culture that has lost its way. (Although this book is the last of The Chronicles of Narnia, it can stand on its own and it is not necessary to have read the other books for this class.)
