Episode 85: From Scratch
Send us Fan MailSometimes the answer isn’t doing more—it’s recognizing just how tired we really are.In this episode of Las Locas Chronicles, we’re talking about rest and what it means to rebuild from scratch when your body, mind, emotions, and spirit have been running on empty.Inspired by Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith’s book Sacred Rest, we unpack the seven types of rest: physical, mental, emotional, sensory, creative, social, and spiritual. Because sleep alone doesn’t always fix exhaustion. Sometimes we’re tired in places a nap can’t reach. We also look at Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:27:“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”How much energy are we spending worrying, striving, overthinking, and trying to control what only God can handle?Maybe it’s time to stop running on empty, make room for real rest, and allow God to rebuild us from scratch.Join Las Locas as we talk honestly about burnout, worry, rest, and learning to trust God enough to slow down.🎙️ New episodes every Thursday at 12 PM CST on your favorite podcast platforms and YouTube.🛍️ Visit us for merch and more at LasLocasChronicles.com.

Episode 83: Who Are We Modeling?
Send us Fan MailIn this episode of Las Locas Chronicles, we’re talking about the powerful influence women have inside their homes, marriages, churches, and communities.Titus 2:3–5 calls mature women to teach and mentor younger women—not only through their words, but through the way they live. Biblical mentorship is about showing the next generation what it looks like to love God, love their families, walk in wisdom, and live with integrity. We also unpack 1 Peter 3:1–2 and the often misunderstood topic of submitting to our husbands. Biblical submission is not about losing your voice, value, or identity. It’s about honoring God in the way we love, respect, and serve within our marriages while allowing our godly character to become a testimony. Our husbands, children, and the younger women watching us are learning from more than what we say. They are watching how we respond, how we love, how we forgive, how we honor, and how we follow Jesus. The question is: Who are we modeling?Join Alexa and Jessica as we talk about mentorship, marriage, family, submission, and becoming women whose lives demonstrate the love and character of God.📖 Scriptures: Titus 2:3–5 | 1 Peter 3:1–2🎙️ New episodes every Thursday at 12 PM CST on YouTube and all streaming platforms.🛍️ Visit LasLocasChronicles.com for merch and more.Las Locas Chronicles — where faith meets real life, real talk, and a little sazón.

Episode 82: Palm Tree Faith
Send us Fan MailWhat does it look like to have faith that stays rooted when life gets stormy? In this episode of Las Locas Chronicles, we’re talking about Palm Tree Faith—the kind of faith that may bend under pressure but refuses to break. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 7:24 that the wise person doesn’t just hear His words but puts them into practice, building their life on a firm foundation. And Psalm 92:13–14 reminds us that those who are planted in the house of the Lord will continue to flourish and bear fruit—even in later seasons of life.Just like a palm tree develops the roots necessary to withstand strong winds, our faith must be deeply rooted in God before the storms come.🌴 Are you planted or just positioned?🌴 Are your roots deep enough for the season you’re entering?🌴 Are you building your life on what Jesus said—or simply listening to it?The storm doesn’t determine whether you stand. Your foundation does.Grab your cafecito and join Las Locas as we talk about developing a faith that is rooted, resilient, and still producing fruit.📖 Scriptures: Matthew 7:24 | Psalm 92:13–14🎙️ New episodes every Thursday at 12 PM CST on all streaming platforms and YouTube.🛍️ Shop Las Locas merch and learn more at laslocaschronicles.com#LasLocasChronicles #PalmTreeFaith #Faith #ChristianPodcast #RootedInChrist #BibleStudy #ChristianWomen #Psalm92 #Matthew7

Episode 81: A New Season of Abiding
Send us Fan MailA new season does not always require us to work harder, move faster, or prove more. Sometimes God invites us to remain close, rest in His presence, and trust Him as our refuge. In this episode, we explore Psalm 91 and what it means to abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Abiding is more than visiting God when life becomes difficult—it is choosing to dwell with Him daily. It is learning to remain connected to His voice, protected by His presence, and confident in His promises through every changing season.Maybe God is not calling you to strive in this season. Maybe He is calling you to stay close.Join Las Locas as we discuss:• What it means to abide in God• The difference between visiting His presence and dwelling there• How Psalm 91 speaks to fear, uncertainty, and spiritual protection• Why intimacy with God must come before activity for God• How to recognize when God is leading you into a new seasonWatch Las Locas Chronicles live every Thursday at 12:00 PM CST on YouTube and Facebook.Subscribe, share this episode, and join the conversation.Visit us at LasLocasChronicles.com.

Episode 80: Make Your Child Responsible
Send us Fan MailWhat do children truly need to learn before becoming responsible adults? In this episode, we discuss the lessons that go beyond academics—personal responsibility, respect, emotional maturity, financial wisdom, a strong work ethic, healthy communication, and learning how to make wise decisions. We also explore the importance of allowing children to experience consequences, solve problems, contribute at home, and develop a faith of their own.Proverbs 22:6 tells us to “train up a child in the way he should go,” but raising responsible children requires intentionality, consistency, patience, and an example worth following.Join Las Locas as we talk honestly about parenting, preparation, and raising children who are equipped—not merely protected—to become capable, compassionate, and responsible adults.Watch us LIVE every Thursday at 12:00 PM CST on YouTube and Facebook. You can also listen on your favorite podcast platform.Visit us at www.laslocaschronicles.com and follow @LasLocasChronicles.

Episode 79: Yield Doesn't Mean Stop
Send us Fan MailWhen you see a yield sign, it doesn't mean stop—it means slow down, pay attention, and move in step with what's around you. The same is true in our walk with God.In this episode of Las Locas Chronicles, we talk about what it really means to yield to the Lord. Too often we're running ahead of Him with our own plans or lagging behind in fear, distraction, or disobedience. But God calls us to walk with Him—matching His pace, trusting His timing, and following His direction.Using Ephesians 2:20, we explore what it means to build our lives on Christ, the cornerstone, and how surrender isn't weakness—it's wisdom. Yielding to God doesn't mean giving up. It means giving Him the right of way so He can lead us into His best.Join us for a practical and encouraging conversation about trust, obedience, discernment, and learning to recognize when God is saying, "Yield."In this episode, you'll discover:Why yielding is different from quittingHow to stop running ahead of God's timingWhat it looks like to walk in step with the Holy SpiritWhy surrender leads to greater peace, purpose, and directionWatch us LIVE every Thursday at 12:00 PM CST.🌐 Website: https://laslocaschronicles.com

Episode 78: GET TO THE POINT! Stop the Hesitation!
Send us Fan MailHow many opportunities have we missed because we hesitated? In this live episode from Yummy Bites, the Locas have an honest conversation about overthinking, waiting for the "perfect" moment, and delaying what God has already called us to do.The truth is, you will never feel completely ready. But if God is opening the door, it's because He's already been preparing you.Stop waiting. Stop hesitating. Get to the point. We discuss why fear often disguises itself as "preparation" and how constantly thinking you need more time can actually keep you from stepping into God's purpose. You don't have to prepare for every opportunity—you've been preparing your whole life.We also share stories of moments when God called us to move before we felt ready, including a memorable experience in Corpus Christi that reminded us how important it is to say "yes" in the moment. In this episode, we talk about:Why hesitation can cause you to miss divine opportunitiesSeparating your feelings from God's truthTrusting that the Holy Spirit will give you what you need when you need itTaking every thought captive and aligning it with God's WordRecognizing fear, worry, and self-doubt before they become barriersWhy growth often requires discomfortLearning to move before you have all the answersGod may be bringing the very opportunity you've been praying for.The question is... will you be ready when it arrives?Jesus' parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1–13) reminds us that everyone expected the bridegroom—but only five were fully prepared when the moment came.Being available isn't the same as being ready.God is looking for people who have already settled their "yes."When He says go... go.Don't let overthinking close the door that obedience would have opened. It's time to stop delaying, stop second-guessing, and stop waiting for perfect circumstances.Get things in order now. Be ready now.Because your next opportunity may be one act of obedience away.Key Scriptures:"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." — Proverbs 3:5-6"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." — 2 Timothy 1:7"We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." — 2 Corinthians 10:5"Be ready in season and out of season." — 2 Timothy 4:2Your purpose isn't waiting for perfect conditions. It's waiting for your yes.Watch or listen to Las Locas Chronicles every Thursday at 12 PM CST on YouTube and all podcast platforms.Visit us at https://laslocaschronicles.com for episodes, updates, and Las Locas merch.#LasLocasPodcast #GetToThePoint #FaithOverFear #StopHesitating #TrustGod #Purpose #ChristianPodcast #BeReady #HolySpirit #Season4

Episode 77: Mean Girl Ministry
Send us Fan MailChurch should be a place of healing, encouragement, and spiritual growth—but sometimes the deepest wounds come from people sitting in the pews beside us.In this honest and biblical conversation, we tackle the reality of “Mean Girl Ministry”—when insecurity, comparison, jealousy, and competition creep into the Body of Christ. We talk about the women who gossip, exclude, criticize, intimidate, or try to cancel others instead of celebrating God’s work in their lives.Using the story of Hannah and Peninnah in 1 Samuel 1, we examine how Peninnah’s insecurity led her to provoke and torment Hannah, even while Hannah remained focused on taking her pain to God. Their story reminds us that people who are hurting often hurt others, but our response determines our destiny. If you’ve ever been wounded by another woman in church, struggled with comparison, or found yourself navigating unhealthy ministry relationships, this episode is for you. Together we’ll discuss how to recognize toxic behaviors, guard our hearts, refuse to participate in division, and choose the way of Christ over the culture of competition.Don’t let someone else’s insecurity silence your calling. God has not called you to compete—He has called you to be faithful.Join the Locas as we have the hard conversations, expose unhealthy patterns, and encourage one another to build a sisterhood that reflects the heart of Jesus.Watch or listen to Las Locas Chronicles every Thursday at 12 PM CST on YouTube and all podcast platforms.Visit us at https://laslocaschronicles.com for episodes, updates, and Las Locas merch.

Episode 75: The Desire to Look Back
Send us Fan MailWhy is it so tempting to look back?Whether it's an old relationship, a previous season of life, a former church, or "the good old days," we often convince ourselves that going back will bring the peace, comfort, or fulfillment we're missing. But what if we're idolizing the memory instead of remembering the reality? In this episode, we unpack why looking back is such a natural instinct, how nostalgia can keep us spiritually stuck, and why God's call is always forward. We discuss the danger of romanticizing the past, the importance of trusting God's direction, and why obedience means listening to His instructions even when they're difficult. As Richie often says, "We never go back. We're only going to move forward."If you've been tempted to revisit a season God has already called you out of, this conversation will encourage you to let go of what was, trust what God is doing now, and step confidently into what's ahead.Join us as we learn to stop idolizing the past, embrace God's purpose for today, and keep moving forward in faith.🎙️ New episodes of Las Locas Chronicles premiere every Thursday at 12 PM CST on YouTube and are available on all major podcast platforms. Episode 74: Grief Is Not Serving You In This Season
Send us Fan MailWhat if the grief you're carrying is no longer helping you heal?In this episode, we tackle a difficult but necessary question: Has grief become a place you've settled into instead of a season you've walked through?Grief is a natural response to loss, and God never asks us to ignore our pain. But sometimes we hold on to sorrow so tightly that it begins to define our identity, limit our future, and keep us from embracing what God is doing next.Join us as we explore the difference between honoring our loss and living in it, what Scripture teaches about lament and healing, and how to recognize when grief is no longer serving God's purpose in your life. We'll discuss finding hope again and trusting that God can bring beauty from even the deepest pain.If you've experienced loss, disappointment, heartbreak, ministry hurt, or a season that changed you forever, this conversation is for you.Scripture reminds us that while grief may be part of our story, it was never meant to be the end of it.Watch or listen every Thursday at 12PM CST on YouTube and all podcast platforms.🎧 Listen, subscribe, and shop Las Locas merch:laslocaschronicles.com/shop#ShamelessAudacityPodcast #ChristianPodcast #Grief #Healing #FaithJourney #HopeInChrist #ChristianWomen #SpiritualGrowth #BiblicalTruth #MentalHealthAndFaith

Episode 72: Put A Little Faith Into It
Send us Fan MailFaith was never meant to stay in our heads. Real faith moves. Real faith shows up. Real faith carries people when they cannot carry themselves. In this episode, we talk about what active faith looks like through two powerful biblical examples:• The four friends who refused to give up and carried the paralytic to Jesus, even tearing through a roof because they believed Jesus could heal him.• Aaron and Hur holding up Moses’ arms during the battle in Exodus 17, reminding us that sometimes victory comes because faithful people are willing to hold each other up when strength runs low.We discuss:• Why faith requires action• The importance of godly community and support• How obedience often requires effort, persistence, and sacrifice• Why some battles are won through unity• What it means to carry others spiritually• The difference between passive belief and active faithSometimes faith looks like praying.Sometimes faith looks like fighting.Sometimes faith looks like holding someone else’s arms up when they are too tired to keep going.Scriptures referenced:• Mark 2:1–12• Exodus 17:8–13• James 2:17• Galatians 6:2Watch now and be encouraged to live out a faith that moves, serves, believes, and acts.Subscribe and join us every Thursday at 12 PM CST for new episodes of Las Locas Chronicles. Episode 71: Cancelling Rejection
Send us Fan MailRejection has a way of shaping how we see ourselves, others, and even God. In this episode, we confront the lies rejection tries to plant in our hearts and declare freedom, healing, and identity through Jesus Christ. We talk about the pain of being overlooked, abandoned, misunderstood, betrayed, and not chosen — and how God still calls, loves, and uses us anyway. We are CANCELLING REJECTION with God’s Word by declaring truth every time rejection presents itself. Instead of agreeing with the lies of insecurity, fear, shame, comparison, and self-doubt, we choose to stand on what God says about us. We discuss the power of speaking Scripture over your life, renewing your mind, and refusing to let rejection become your identity. What people rejected, God still anointed. What others walked away from, God still had a purpose for. This episode is a reminder that your identity is found in Christ — not in the opinions, approval, or acceptance of people. If you’ve ever struggled with feeling unwanted, unseen, abandoned, or unworthy, this conversation will encourage you to fight back with the Word of God and walk in the confidence of who He created you to be.Watch/listen to new episodes of Las Locas Chronicles every Thursday at 12 PM CST on YouTube and all podcast platforms. Episode 70: Be Desperate for God’s Good and Perfect
Send us Fan MailWhat are you willing to trade for temporary comfort? In this episode, we talk about the danger of settling for what is immediate instead of trusting God for what is eternal. Through the story of Moses’ mother, we explore the faith and surrender it takes to release what we love into God’s hands, believing His plan is greater even when it hurts. We also unpack the story of Esau, who gave up his birthright for a bowl of lentils, showing how desperation for temporary satisfaction can cost us something far more valuable. This conversation challenges us to stop chasing quick fixes, emotional impulses, and temporary relief, and instead become desperate for God’s good and perfect will. Sometimes obedience requires sacrifice, patience, trust, and the courage to believe that what God has ahead is worth waiting for.Join us as we discuss surrender, trust, identity, delayed gratification, and the danger of trading sacred things for temporary cravings.New episodes drop every Thursday at 12 PM CST on YouTube and all podcast platforms. Send us Fan MailHow many times have you stood in the doorway of something God was calling you to… and talked yourself out of it?In this episode of Las Locas Chronicles, we dive into the powerful stories of the Shunammite woman, Hannah, and the symbolism of mother of pearl to talk about faith, hesitation, identity, and the layers God develops in us through pain, waiting, obedience, and surrender. The Shunammite woman teaches us what it means to make room for God even before we see the promise. Because the Kingdom of God isn’t built on rushed outcomes… it’s built on daily surrender.God rarely gives the full blueprint. Busy. Distracted.Jessica opens up about motherhood—beach days, Wendy’s chicken nuggets, and meeting “Daddy” for lunch—and the realization she carries now:“If I could tell my younger self anything, it would be—enjoy your kids more. Episode 61: Love Your Neighbor | The Locas Hit the White House
Send us Fan MailIn this powerful Season 4 premiere, the Locas take Washington, D.C. as they step into spaces of advocacy and awareness—learning what it truly means to stand for and serve the Latino and immigrant community with both compassion and conviction.A year ago, Dr. Jessica began to feel a deep stirring in her heart—to speak up for those who are often overlooked, mistreated, or unheard. In this episode, we unpack that journey and wrestle with the tension of honoring the laws of the land while still treating every human being with dignity, respect, and honor. This conversation goes beyond politics—it goes straight to the condition of our hearts. We talk about:• What it means to truly love your neighbor—especially those who are different from you• Why no one should have to live in fear• Personal stories of growing up feeling different—from accents to appearance• The call for believers to be a voice for the vulnerable• How fear is shaping the heart of our nation—and how love must respond• The biblical foundation of advocacy, from cities of refuge to the life of Moses• How Jesus Himself modeled a life of movement, mission, and mercyFrom the halls of influence to everyday life, this episode challenges us to reflect:Is your heart moved by what breaks God’s heart?Jesus gave us a clear command—to love God and to love our neighbors. This isn’t optional. It’s our assignment. As believers, we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus—bringing healing, restoration, and hope in a divided world. This is not about politics. This is about people. This is about love.So the question is: What is Jesus calling YOU to do in your community?🎧 Listen on all podcast platforms📺 Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMSWipm740QEEXm73Fv2zDg🛍️ Get merch & support the podcast: https://laslocaschronicles.com

Episode 60: When God Says Move (Live Episode)
Send us Fan MailIn this powerful Season 3 finale, Las Locas go live for Episode 60 to talk about one of the hardest yet most transformative moments in a believer’s journey—when God says move.Obedience to God does not always come with clear instructions, comfort, or approval from others. Sometimes God calls us to step out of what is familiar and into the unknown, trusting that His plan is greater than our understanding. In this episode, we reflect on the moments when faith requires movement—when God asks us to leave comfort, release control, and say yes even without the full picture.Through honest conversation, testimony, and biblical insight, we discuss the fear, the struggle, and the faith it takes to obey God’s voice. Many times the breakthrough, the purpose, and the next season of our lives are waiting on the other side of a simple but powerful response: yes.If you’ve ever felt God nudging you toward something new, challenging, or uncertain, this conversation will encourage you to trust Him and take the step.FROM THE FIRE POLE TO THE WHITE HOUSE!🎧 Listen on all podcast platforms📺 Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMSWipm740QEEXm73Fv2zDg🛍️ Get merch & support the podcast: https://laslocaschronicles.com

Episode 59 – A Vessel for Honor: Living in the Fear of the Lord
Send us Fan MailLas Locas are officially in the new Locas Studio, and this episode goes deep into what it truly means to live in the fear of the Lord.Alexa shares a powerful moment of surrender when she promised God she would do whatever He asked. But that raises an important question for all of us: Have you ever made a promise to God that you didn’t keep?In this conversation, Jessica and Alexa unpack the true meaning of the fear of the Lord—not being afraid of God, but living in a way that honors Him with sincerity and integrity. They also talk about the difference between making mistakes and intentionally living contrary to God’s Word, and why believers—especially those in ministry—must guard their hearts so that serving God never becomes just another job. This episode is a reminder that we are called to be vessels for honor (2 Timothy 2:20–21), not people who chase affirmation or platforms. Our passion must always remain rooted in our relationship with God, not just our gifts or positions. Are we living authentically? Are we keeping the promises we made to God?Are we still burning with our first love? It’s time to stay ready, stay surrendered, and live in a way that honors Him everywhere we go.#LasLocasChronicles#FearOfTheLord#ChristianPodcast#FaithConversation#FirstLove#VesselForHonor#ChristianWomen#FaithWalk#KingdomLiving#WalkWithGod

Episode 58: Get on the Ship
Send us Fan MailIn this powerful episode, Jessica and Alexa unpack the deeper meaning behind Noah’s Ark and why it’s far more than a children’s story. God gave Noah the blueprint but limited tools—what carried him through was perseverance and trust. The Ark was covered in pitch, a word in Hebrew that also means atonement. Just as the Ark was sealed and protected, Jesus covers and protects us with His love. The Ark had no rudder or steering wheel because God was the Captain. That’s the message: this journey requires 100% trust. We talk about salvation, what it truly means to be adopted into God’s family, and the truth that nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:31–39). Jesus is the Living Word—present in the beginning, without beginning or end—and His love brings us back to life.If you feel far from God, hurt by people, or unsure how to come back, this episode is your invitation. Send us Fan MailIn this fun and honest episode, recorded live from Valore Bar & Grill, the Locas dive into a real question many believers wrestle with: Are you content… or just complacent? While celebrating the near completion of the Locas Studio, Jessica and Alexa talk about how God gives supernatural strength to fulfill every assignment He calls you to — and how often we already have everything we need to walk in His will. They unpack the difference:Contentment is gratitude and trust in GodComplacency is getting stuck and settlingThe conversation gets real as they discuss complacency in marriages, ministry, personal growth, and everyday life. Sometimes we ask God for more while struggling to steward what we already have.Through laughter, memories (including Alexa’s green Ford Escort days), and personal testimonies of leading through pain, this episode reminds us:Gratitude isn’t based on circumstancesEven rock bottom can become a launching pointEndurance is part of faithGod prepares you through the hard seasonsSometimes you discover your strength only when you’re testedJessica shares insights from preaching through pain, while Alexa opens up about leading while hurting and how God expanded her capacity during difficult moments. This episode will encourage you to:Appreciate the small blessingsStay grateful in chaotic seasonsTrust God while you waitKeep moving forward without losing peaceBecause contentment keeps your heart right — but complacency keeps you stuck. And one year from now? Episode 56: Things We Thought Love Was...BUT IT WASN'T!
Send us Fan MailMany of us grew up with ideas about love shaped by culture, movies, family dynamics, and past relationships. We were taught that love meant butterflies, sacrifice without boundaries, staying no matter what, or tolerating dysfunction in the name of loyalty. But what if much of what we called “love” was never biblical to begin with?In this LIVE episode of Las Locas Chronicles, we unpack the difference between cultural love and Christ-centered love. Through Scripture, we explore what real, healthy love actually looks like—love that is rooted in truth, honor, accountability, freedom, and peace. We talk about how God’s Word corrects our misconceptions and invites us into relationships that reflect His character, not the world’s version of romance or attachment. If you’ve ever confused control for protection, chemistry for compatibility, or emotional intensity for spiritual depth, this conversation is for you.Join the Locas as we challenge old narratives and redefine love according to God’s design.Watch LIVE every Thursday at 12PM CST.Listen on all podcast platforms.Visit us at laslocaschronicles.com for merch, resources, and more.

Episode 55: Red Flags in Relationships
Send us Fan MailAre you ignoring red flags in your relationships? 🚩On this episode of Las Locas we explore warning signs in all types of relationships — dating, friendships, family, church, leadership, and more — through the lens of Scripture. One of the biggest red flags in any relationship is a lack of honor and respect. This shows up when your thoughts are dismissed, your boundaries are ignored, or your voice is minimized. Honor doesn’t require agreement, but it does require recognizing the value God placed on you. When respect is missing, love cannot function the way Scripture intends.Another serious warning sign is manipulation and control. This often hides behind concern, spirituality, or “wanting what’s best for you,” but it uses guilt, fear, or pressure to get compliance. God leads through truth and freedom, not coercion. Healthy relationships allow room for choice, growth, and wise counsel.A third red flag is chronic dishonesty—patterns of lying, half-truths, omissions, or rewriting stories when confronted. Trust cannot exist without truth. Where honesty is absent, stability and safety disappear. In this episode, we talk about why these red flags are often ignored and why discernment and boundaries are not unloving, but necessary. God does not call us to tolerate what damages our hearts, our faith, or our peace.Learn how to discern healthy connections, set godly boundaries, and build relationships that reflect Christ’s love, truth, and peace.🎧 Listen on all podcast platforms📺 Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LasLocasChronicles🛍️ Get merch & support the podcast: https://laslocaschronicles.com

Episode 54: Mukbang | Embarrassed Then, Thankful Now
Send us Fan MailIn this Mukbang episode of Las Locas Chronicles, Jessica and Alexa are eating smackilicious food at El Rey de Sabor in Irving, TX while laughing their way down memory lane. The question on the table: What’s something you were embarrassed about as a kid that doesn’t bother you at all as an adult? From remembering pastelillo sales in the back of the church to discovering the magic of the George Foreman grill, this episode is packed with humor, nostalgia, and perspective. The Locas talk about the things we swore we’d never do as kids—using coupons, caring about electricity bills, turning off lights—and how adulthood completely changes our view.Alexa shares her legendary birthday routine, complete with free Starbucks, prime rib at the Big Texan, and Nothing Bundt Cakes, proving that grown confidence hits different. They reflect on how as children we often didn’t understand sacrifice, stewardship, or gratitude—but as adults, those lessons finally make sense. The conversation turns heartfelt as Alexa reflects on realizing her parents were never “not enough,” but actually sacrificed everything to give their family a good life. She shares how her parents’ work ethic shaped her and how her mom’s decision to tithe marked a turning point toward financial freedom and stability.Jessica opens up about the very thing she once complained about—her hair—which is now a signature part of who she is, her culture, and her identity. This episode is a reminder to:Be grateful for what you haveBe a good steward of what’s in your hands nowStay ready so you don’t have to get readyWalk in full obedience, not partialHonor your parents while you still canIf there’s something you were embarrassed about as a kid, this episode challenges you to revisit it with adult eyes—and maybe even say thank you or ask forgiveness where it’s due.Growing up changes everything—and that’s not something to be embarrassed about.🎧 Listen on all podcast platforms📺 Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LasLocasChronicles🛍️ Get merch & support the podcast: https://laslocaschronicles.com

Episode 52: When God is Silent....SIKE!
Send us Fan MailHave you ever prayed with everything in you—only to be met with silence? In this episode, we talk honestly about one of the most difficult and confusing seasons of faith: when God feels quiet. When prayers seem unanswered. When direction feels unclear. When heaven feels distant.Together, we explore what Scripture shows us about God’s silence—not as abandonment, punishment, or rejection, but often as formation, trust-building, and deep spiritual work. From Job’s unanswered cries, to David’s laments, to Elijah’s whisper, and even Jesus’ anguish in Gethsemane, we see that silence has always been part of the faith journey. If you’ve ever wondered:Did I do something wrong? Is God upset with me?Why does it feel like everyone else hears Him but me?This conversation is for you. We’ll talk about:What God’s silence is and is notWhy God may choose silence in certain seasonsHow to remain faithful when clarity is missingWhat to do when obedience comes before understandingHow to trust God’s character when emotions say otherwiseIf you’re in a waiting season, a wilderness moment, or a place where faith feels fragile, this episode offers truth, reassurance, and hope. Episode 51: Mary vs. Martha
Send us Fan MailEpisode 51 kicks off with a fun salted caramel Moon Pie taste test before quickly turning into a lively and heartfelt Mary vs. Martha debate. Anchored in Luke 10:38–42, Jessica and Alexa examine how these two sisters reflect different personalities, callings, and spiritual rhythms that many of us see in ourselves today.Jessica identifies strongly with Mary—someone who prioritizes being with Jesus, hearing His Word, and pushing past distractions to stay close to Him. Alexa advocates for Martha, pointing out that she intentionally made room for Jesus in her home and lived out her calling through hospitality and service. Martha’s life reminds us that serving is not second-class spirituality—it’s worship. The conversation digs deeper into how gifting can feel effortless to others but exhausting to the one carrying it, and how hospitality, service, and leadership can quietly turn into anxiety when limits aren’t honored. Martha wasn’t upset that Mary was sitting—she was overwhelmed by carrying too much alone. When our eyes shift from Jesus to what others aren’t doing, bitterness and comparison can creep in.Jessica and Alexa also challenge the “consumer mindset” in the Church, emphasizing that serving one another is biblical, worshipful, and necessary. They explore how Jesus addressed Martha’s anxiety—not her service—and why there are moments when even the most capable servant needs to stop and simply sit at His feet. This episode reminds us that Mary and Martha were both loved, both called, and both necessary. The Body of Christ thrives when we honor different giftings, help one another carry the load, and keep our focus on Jesus above all else. So… whose team are you on—Mary or Martha?💛 Join us every Thursday at 12PM CST to watch or listen to new episodes of Las Locas Chronicles. Episode 50: No Puppets Allowed: Breaking Free from People-Pleasing
Send us Fan MailIn Episode 50, Jessica and Alexa have an honest, challenging conversation about identity, boundaries, and breaking free from the fear of people’s opinions. From their completely different personal styles to how they approach planning and purpose, the Locas remind us that every God-given dream requires intention, structure, and action. This episode tackles the danger of people-pleasing and control, and how easily we give weight to voices that have no stake in our lives. When we live fearing man, we hand over authority that belongs only to the Holy Spirit. God never called us to fit in—He called us to stand out.Jessica and Alexa also dive into relationships, marriage, and dating, stressing the importance of having the hard conversations early—faith, finances, family, and calling. Love alone isn’t enough. The person you choose can either help fulfill your calling or hinder it, which is why healthy boundaries are essential to protect what God has entrusted to you. They reference the book Boundaries by Dr. Henry Cloud, highlighting key truths like: people without boundaries will test yours, and discernment is required to know when to create space and when to pursue connection. Boundaries aren’t about control—they’re about stewardship. Jess shares her testimony about setting boundaries with family in Boundaries that Bless. At the heart of it all is identity. When you don’t know who you are in Christ, others will define you for you. But when you know Him, you begin to walk confidently in who He’s called you to be.God doesn’t want you basic. Episode 48: Who Am I Now? Life Transitions
Send us Fan MailLife transitions for women are defining seasons of change that reshape identity, roles, rhythms, and responsibilities. Some transitions are chosen, others unexpected. Some are joyful, others painful—but most mark a clear before and after moment. In this live conversation, we talk honestly about the transitions women face and how faith anchors us in the in-between.Common life transitions we’ll explore:Identity shifts: discovering purpose and calling beyond rolesRelationships: marriage, singleness, divorce, widowhood, changing friendshipsFamily seasons: motherhood, infertility, empty nesting, caregivingCareer & calling: pivots, leadership, ministry, entrepreneurshipSpiritual transitions: deepening faith, rebuilding, stepping into obedienceHealth & body changes: illness, healing, aging, hormonesLoss & grief: death, miscarriage, unmet dreams, closed doorsGrowth & elevation: promotion, visibility, leadership, influenceWhy life transitions matterTransitions are often where faith is tested, identity is refined, old versions are released, and new strength is formed. Many women find themselves standing between what was and what will be—a holy but uncomfortable space. From a spiritual lens, transitions are divine intersections where God prepares, stretches, and repositions us for deeper purpose.“To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1Life transitions aren’t just changes—they are invitations to grow, heal, and become.#LifeTransitions #WomenInTransition #christianpodcast #FaithJourney #ChristianWomen #IdentityInChrist #PurposeAndCalling #SeasonsOfLife #FaithOverFear #HealingAndGrowth #WomenOfFaith #SpiritualGrowth #TrustGod #InTheInBetween #GodsTiming #BecomingHer #CalledAndChosen #GraceInTransition #FaithTalk #ChristianCommunity #WomenSupportingWomen

Episode 47: When Hope Makes No Sense
Send us Fan MailIn this powerful episode, Jessica and Alexa talk about what it truly means to live with a spirit of expectancy. Using the story of Abraham, they explore the kind of hope that refuses to die even when circumstances make no sense. Abraham hoped against all hope, and many times God asks us to do the same.We all face moments that try to derail us. Disappointments, unexpected challenges, and even people we love can shake our faith. But this journey with the Lord is not linear. We stumble, drift, get frustrated, and feel the fire. Yet God calls us to keep moving forward with courage anchored in His promises. The Locas break down the power of resilience, the courage to get up, and the discipline to stay focused even when fear tries to paralyze us. They talk about Daniel’s boldness in prayer, the difference between retreating and rising, and how the enemy uses fear to stop us from stepping into our calling. They also dive into the refining process. Like gold, we are shaped through heat, pressure, and repetition. Everyone wants the value, but not the process. Yet every fire makes us stronger, purer, and more prepared. What does it truly mean to expect God to move? It means shifting our focus from “God deliver me” to “God let Your will be done,” just like John the Baptist. Expectancy is not denial. It is courage to trust God in the fire, in the confusion, and in the unseen. If you have felt stuck, discouraged, or paralyzed by fear, this episode will remind you that your story is not over. Roll up your mat, stand up, and move forward. God is refining you for purpose.Stay resilient. Hope anyway. Trust Him even in the trial. God is working, even here.

Episode 46: Mukbang Late Night Wendy’s – See You This Sunday
Send us Fan MailIn this late-night Wendy’s mukbang, the Locas are hungry, a little nostalgic, and ready to talk about something that matters: showing up to church. While we enjoy our “linner,” we take a trip down memory lane. Back when life was simple, five dollars filled your tank, sharing fries was normal, and the mall was the weekend hangout. Somewhere along the way, everything got louder, busier, and more complicated. Even church became optional instead of essential. But here’s the truth: you need community. You need connection. You need the church. We talk about the blessings we forget to appreciate, the things we prayed for but now take for granted, and why contentment must be intentional. Ministry is beautiful, but real growth happens when people are teachable, consistent, and committed. We dive into why church matters more than ever.Because being alone makes you a target. But being in community makes you stronger. The early church met every day and grew because people showed up hungry for God. Somewhere along the line, we replaced passion with convenience. It is time to flip that back.We share practical tips on how to prepare for Sunday, sit in the right seat, engage, and stay consistent. Stop giving God leftovers. Give Him your heart, your time, and your presence. No more excuses. It is time to go back to church. Your place in the body matters, and we cannot move forward until you take your position. Episode 44: POPPING OFF | When Pressure Makes You Explode
Send us Fan MailIn Episode 44, the Locas are POPPING OFF — literally. From Ghostbuster slime reactions to Starbucks attitudes, Jessica and Alexa dive deep into what happens when pressure, trauma, and triggers make us explode like a kettle or a bag of popcorn under heat.We kick things off with a shoutout to Beloved & Blessed by Nancy Bryan for all the beautiful, created gifts! Then we move into a real conversation about anger — the kind you try to hide, the kind you hate to feel, and the kind that shows pieces of your unhealed self. Just like the Incredible Hulk, anger exposes what’s underneath the surface… and it’s not always pretty. This episode unpacks: How small moments can send us over the edge The difference between being angry vs. living in anger How unhealed triggers rip the “scab” off old wounds Why anger steals joy, dims your light, and hurts relationships How God uses anger to grow us, layer by layer (hello, onion metaphor!) Why fear is often the real root of our anger The Holy Spirit’s role in correcting and calming us Peter-level moments — when we get it wrong but refuse to quitBecause the truth is: Anger wants to convince us we’re in control, but really we’re not. Healing is not one-and-done — we must abide in it. Our reactions reveal what still needs God’s touch.Jessica and Alexa walk through the Process of Letting Go of Anger, including:Recognize the sourceReflect before reacting (James 1:19)Release the right to revengeReplace the lie with God’s truthForgive — even if they don’t deserve itFill the space with peaceUse your story for growth, not a grudgeIf you’ve ever said: “Don’t make me angry… you won’t like me when I’m angry,” this episode is for you.God wants to bring peace, not explosions.Healing is possible — one layer at a time.

Episode 43: Blessing in the Disappointment
Send us Fan MailThis week on Las Locas Chronicles, Jessica and Alexa kick off the episode with birthday shout-outs for all the November Locas before diving into a powerful (and relatable) conversation about disappointment — and how God can turn it into a blessing. From laughing about Ralphie in A Christmas Story and his many letdowns to unpacking the deeper truth behind our own disappointments, the Locas remind us that sometimes what feels like rejection is really God’s protection.Disappointment, by definition, means “not having what we had hoped for happen.” But what if God is holding it back because we’re not yet ready to handle it? Sometimes our character can’t yet carry the blessing we’re asking for — and instead of saying “Lord, bless me,” we need to start praying, “Lord, prepare me.”In this heartfelt conversation, the Locas talk about:- Learning to manage disappointment with grace- Trusting God’s perfect timing- How even Jesus faced disappointment on the cross- Recognizing that our greatest disappointments can lead to our greatest victoriesDon’t let disappointment blind you — let it build you. What you thought was a setback might just be God setting you up for something greater.#laslocaschronicles #BlessingInTheDisappointment #FaithPodcast #ChristianPodcast #WomenInMinistry #TrustGodsTiming #FaithOverFeelings #PurposeInPain #GodsPlan #SpiritualGrowth #LLCSeason3 #FaithJourney

Episode 42: Living Fully, Loving Deeply
Send us Fan MailIn this episode of Las Locas Chronicles, Jessica and Alexa open up Ecclesiastes 9:5–11 and talk about what it truly means to live life to the fullest. Life moves fast — like a vapor — and it’s easy to get caught up in things that don’t really matter. But what if we slowed down and put life back into perspective? The Locas challenge us to stop living on autopilot and start valuing what matters most — our marriages, our children, and the moments we can never get back. Ministry begins at home, and before we pour into others, we must make sure we’re pouring into our families. They ask powerful questions that’ll get you thinking:- What are you doing with the time you have left?- How are you stewarding your days, your energy, and your relationships?- What are the top three things you want to do for yourself, your family, and your marriage? This conversation will make you laugh, reflect, and maybe even shed a tear — but most of all, it will remind you to live intentionally, love wholeheartedly, and embrace the season you’re in.Because life is fleeting… but when lived with purpose, it’s beautifully full.Takeaway for the Episode:Life is but a vapor — fleeting, fragile, and precious. Don’t just exist, live. Don’t just go through the motions — be present. Pour into what matters most, because every day is a gift from God to love deeply, laugh often, and live intentionally.#LasLocasChronicles #LifeIsButAVapor #FaithPodcast #Ecclesiastes9 #ChristianPodcast #LiveFullyLoveDeeply #FaithAndFamily #WomenInMinistry #PurposeDrivenLife #FamilyFirst #FaithJourney #LLCSeason3

Episode 41: The Power of Vulnerability
Send us Fan MailIn this episode of Las Locas Chronicles, Jessica and Alexa get real real — talking about the power of vulnerability and what it truly costs (and rewards) to live with your heart open. From doing things scared of being criticized to sharing your story before someone else gets the “copyright,” this conversation is raw, honest, and deeply freeing. Because your story is your weapon — and a weapon is strategic. You’ve got to know when and how to use it.The Locas dive into moments when they’ve wanted to edit parts out of episodes but didn’t — because obedience to the Holy Spirit mattered more than perfection. They talk about:Peter stepping out of the boat when Jesus called him — fear and all.The risk and reward of being vulnerable.Jesus washing Judas’ feet even though He knew the betrayal was coming. The difference between walls and boundaries (hint: one locks people out, the other lets love in wisely). How to create safe spaces for vulnerability in women’s groups and ministries.Being vulnerable doesn’t mean being weak — it means being real in a world that values filters over faith. The Locas remind us that God never called us to do life alone. One nail, one plank, one story at a time — like Noah — we build something that can weather any storm. Tune in for laughter, conviction, and a reminder that the reward of vulnerability is never monetary… it’s heavenly.#LasLocasChronicles #ThePowerOfVulnerability #FaithPodcast #WomenInMinistry #AuthenticFaith #FaithOverFear #ChristianPodcast #JesusCentered #Transparency #MinistryMoments #LLCSeason3 #DoItScared #YourStoryMatters #FaithJourney

Episode 40: Too Blessed to be Stressed
Send us Fan MailSeason 3 is HERE, and the Locas are back — caffeinated, honest, and just a little overwhelmed. In this episode, Jessica and Alexa get real about what it feels like to juggle all the things — ministry, family, work, and still trying to keep your peace. From funny “I can’t do this anymore” moments to those quiet reminders that God’s grace is enough, this episode reminds us that being overwhelmed doesn’t mean you’re out of faith… it just means you’re human. They talk about setting boundaries, saying no without guilt, finding balance in busy seasons, and letting God handle what feels too heavy to carry. Because yes, you can be too blessed to be stressed — but still need a nap, a prayer, and a deep breath in Jesus’ name.Tune in for laughter, lessons, and a fresh reminder that God can handle your overflow.Application: Steps to Find PeaceStep 1 — Pause. When your mind starts racing, stop. Take a breath and acknowledge God’s presence. Say out loud, “God, You are near.”Step 2 — Pray Honestly.Tell God what’s heavy. You don’t have to fix it — just lay it down.“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7Step 3 — Prioritize.Ask God, “What matters most right now?” Not everything is urgent, but His peace helps you see what’s truly important.Step 4 — Partner.Don’t isolate. Call a trusted friend, mentor, or pastor. God often provides strength through community.Step 5 — Practice Gratitude.Write down three things you’re thankful for daily. Gratitude re-centers your focus on God’s faithfulness, not your fatigue.#LasLocasChronicles #LLCSeason3 #TooBlessedToBeStressed #FaithPodcast #ChristianPodcast #WomenInMinistry #FaithJourney #OverwhelmedButBlessed #AuthenticFaith #GodsTiming

Episode 36: Rapture Ready
Send us Fan MailJessica and Alexa tackle the viral RaptureTok predictions that claimed the rapture would happen on September 23–24, 2025—and why those claims miss the mark. They remind us that no one knows the day or hour (Matthew 24) and that Jesus will come like a thief in the night. This conversation dives deep into:- Living prepared, not panicked – don’t get ready, be ready.-The parable of the 10 Virgins (Matthew 25) and the power of carrying your own “oil”—symbolizing the Holy Spirit, anointing, and a genuine relationship with Christ.- What it means to walk with authority, discernment, and boldness as a woman of God who changes atmospheres.-The difference between wise and foolish believers: outward religion vs. inward reality.Jessica and Alexa challenge listeners to examine their hearts:What’s really inside your lamp? Are you depending on someone else’s oil or cultivating your own?Are you teaching and discipling others (Matthew 28) or waiting in isolation?Key takeaway: Preparation is personal. Salvation and readiness can’t be borrowed or transferred. God calls us to live holy, walk in our calling, and carry the oil that comes only from time in His presence.Don’t settle for looking the part. Live in continual faith, stay full of the Spirit, and walk in the anointing that makes darkness tremble.Subscribe for more episodes of Locas Chronicles and share this message with a friend who needs encouragement to stay rapture ready. #RaptureReady #LocasChronicles #FaithPodcast #HolySpirit #EndTimes #WomenOfGod
