Erin O'Hara: naturopath and wellness expert on obsessive healthy eating
from The Sunday Session with Francesca Rudkin · host Newstalk ZB
Eating well and cleaning up our diets are good habits we should maintain, but what happens when we take it too far? Focusing on what you eat can easily develop into an obsession, and diet culture can contribute to people having unhealthy relationships with eating and food. Erin O'Hara, naturopath and wellness expert, joined us to talk about how diet culture is linked to eating disorders and how 'eating clean' can contribute to eating anxiety and become unhealthy. "People quite often think of eating disorders just around anorexia and bulimia and being really skinny, but actually it can be to do with your relationship to food. It's not just necessarily about being skinny, and that can really create a lot of problems as well." LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
