Focus on What You Want in Your Life
from Preventive Mental Health Show · host Keisha Denise
Focus on What You Want in Your Life In this week's episode, I share the importance of focusing on your wants, preparing for change, and pivoting when necessary to create a life of balance and staying on course with your goals and aspirations. When you focus on what you want, I believe you're going to get it, and you're going to get to the finish line, but it's going to take time. We don't get time back, so don't waste your time when you get to the goal, to what you truly want and desire. You can't always predict what will happen tomorrow. All you can expect is that there will be changes. Be prepared and aware that things will change as you focus on what you want, and remember, you have to be willing to pivot and adjust to get to the finish line. Wants are a constant reminder to love yourself. You will get to the finish line when you focus on what you want. We don't know what will happen tomorrow, but if we can identify now what we genuinely want, everything will slowly come into focus. Focused is pivoting because sometimes what you're focusing on may be behind you or to the left or right. Something may happen that we didn't plan for, and we have to pivot to stay focused and learn how to get comfortable with chaos. As you focus on your wants, be prepared and aware that things will change, and you must be willing to pivot and adjust. Those who can handle chaos survive, and those who can't don't.
