The Gothenburg Synagogue celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2005. A memorial service was held in the Synagogue on September 26 - where one of the Gothenburg Jewish Congregation's commissioned works from the composer Salomon Helperin had its premiere. The orchestra's orchestration: 3 tenor soloists, principal soloist Kantor Louis Garb, chamber choir, children's choir, 2 harps, 20 brass instruments, alternated on 5 shofar horns. The composer conducted and was also a soloist on acoustic / electric trumpet and shofar. On October 6, a memorial concert was also held at Artisten in Gothenburg with a reduced orchestra. This album contains the solo parts for Kantor Louis Garb.
