Half-Baked is ALL We Get

Half-baked is the best we can hope for. Have you ever looked at your child in their messiness, their ineptitude, their lack of executive functioning, their selfishness and impulsivity, in other words, in their childishness, and wondered - How on earth is this child ever going to manage in the real world? I hear variations of this question all the time, and this week, I answer this question, share my own slip-up with this kind of thinking, and try my damndest to shake you up and startle you into seeing the magic of your child who they are right NOW, right before your eyes Friends, the time we have with our children is short, and when they leave us, they are only half-baked at best. Then they go on to finish becoming themselves on their own, and whatever we gave them in that first half stays with them to either help or hinder their completion.
