Howard Lyman the Mad Cowboy; Laura in Vallarta; Maggie Malyn

Do you remember that famous trial in which Oprah and Howard Lyman were sued by the cattlemen of Texas?  In 1996, when Howard Lyman warned America on The Oprah Winfrey Show that Mad Cow Disease was coming to America, offended cattlemen sued him and Oprah both. Not only were Lyman and Oprah vindicated in court, but events have proved many of Lyman's predictions absolutely right. Mad Cow Disease has come to America.   Howard F. Lyman is the Mad Cowboy. He is  a 4th generation family farmer (and vegan) from Montana. After 20 years of operating a feed lot, he sold his ranch and started working for farmers in financial trouble. He was a lobbyist in Washington, and ran for Congress in 1982.  He is the former Director of the "Beyond Beef Campaign" & the Humane Society of the US, "Eating With Conscience" Campaign; past President of both the International Vegetarian Union, and Earth Save International, and is currently President of Voice for a Viable Future.  Musician, Maggie Malyn, will join us LIVE in the studio and we'll play some of her original music.
