IB Green Minds #19: In conversation with Todd Smith

In this week's episode, Moritz speaks with Todd Smith, the co-founder of Safe Landing, an organisation by aviation workers for more sustainability in the industry. The two talk about the radical changes needed to decarbonize the aviation industry, the challenges that lie ahead and also why it is so crucial that most of Safe Landing’s members still work within the sector and drive change from within.  Todd is a former airline pilot, who has been flying airplanes across the globe until a medical diagnosis left him no choice but to pause his job. During that time he “ironically” as he says himself, traveled around the world and realized the damage global warming has already done.
