Dr. Guy Stiebel, The Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Cultures, Tel Aviv UniversityDr. Guy Stiebel is a senior lecture at the Department of Archaeology at Tel Aviv University. His areas of expertise include the Martial archeology (with an emphasis on the Roman army and the site of Masada) and the interface between material culture and historical sources – both are critically relevant to contemporary debates and insights. Deploying advanced technology and forensic tools, Guy is able to familiarize us with people that lived thousands of years ago. His knowledge of their lives is astonishingly intimate and specific.
