Interview - Laura Firth - Bravehearts

Laura talks about Bravehearts, what it takes to raise funds for them, what it means and how to do it. My favourite quote of the episode is "A lot of people have always come up to me and asked me about it, what it is. And I've even had a couple of people even open up to me, adults saying that they were abused and wished they had known about something that was out there at the time, which I feel shouldn't have taken us this long to actually have a charity that does that. I mean, I first found out about Bravehearts. I stumbled over it. I was trying to find a running event, trying to do a marathon, I think it was about five years ago. And I had a friend, suggest Bravehearts. So me and her, we trained up, we did our first Bravehearts marathon. And then I met somebody called Jess, Jess Peil. And she introduced me, told me that she was doing, the seven marathons, seven states in seven days in Australia. And I was like, well, that's crazy. And then she explained to me that, you know, it was for Bravehearts. And I think Jess is now on her seventh year. There's some really inspirational people out there.".
