James 2 - Living A Full Life

from Pastor Mike Impact Ministries · host Michael L Grooms

Today, Saturday November 21 - James 2 - God created us not only to live, but to live fully! For sure we have a "survival instinct", to fight to stay alive physically. But God wants us to live an "abundant life". In John 10:10, Jesus said the thief has come to steal, to kill and to destroy, but I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly! An abundant life cannot be lived in isolation in a state of fear. For sure, the "abundant life" is not based on my surroundings, and if I was put into a dark prison cell for my faith in Christ, I could still enjoy the abundant life with the presence of Jesus in the cell with me. Years ago I heard someone say, "When God created Adam, He created a man, but when He created Eve, He created society." God Himself is a Trinity. God created us for each other. We are not to live independent lives, or co-dependent lives, but we are to live inter-dependent lives, if we are to live a full life. This is the only way we have the opportunity to expressed one of the greatest attributes of God! His Love!!!!! The Royal law of love leads us to have mercy on others just as God has had mercy on us. "...Mercy triumphs over judgment." (James 2:13) God bless!!!!
