Jane Patterson: FIFA NZ chief operating officer delighted with ticket sales in the lead up to 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup
from The Sunday Session with Francesca Rudkin · host Newstalk ZB
The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup is less than a week from kicking off, with our own Football Ferns up against Norway. The World Cup is promised to be one of the biggest events New Zealand has ever hosted and it's expected to bring in an estimated $200 million. FIFA's New Zealand chief operating officer Jane Patterson says the ticket sales in the lead-up are going extremely well. "We've sold more than 1.25 million tickets across both countries, Australia and New Zealand, and just over 320,000 of those have been sold to the New Zealand matches. So we're delighted."
