Hi everyone! Do you know what that sound is? I think you do. It's the dragon dance. This dance is great! It's one of Taiwan's traditions. 你知道這是甚麼聲音嗎?這是舞龍表演,是台灣的傳統之一。 Dragon dancing is very old. It started a long time ago in China. You can see the dragon dance in many countries now. People do dragon dances during special times like Chinese New Year. 舞龍表演起源於古時候的中國,現在很多國家都可以看到,有一些人會用舞龍來慶祝新年。 There is an interesting dragon dance in Taiwan. Kids at a school in Taoyuan do a different dragon dance. What's different? They do the dance on skates! Yes, on roller skates. That is a fast dragon dance! 桃園一所國小的學生,一邊溜直排輪一邊舞龍! The kids make their dragon. It is 40 meters long! It is red, white, blue, yellow, and black. It has many teeth. It looks fierce! 他們自己做了 一條長40 公尺的龍,有紅色、白色、藍色、黃色、黑色,還有很多牙齒,看起來很兇惡! The kids are proud of their dragon. They are proud of their dance. They carry the dragon over their heads. They make it move. And they do this on skates! Cool! 他們對這條龍,還有他們的舞龍表演很自豪。 People love this interesting dragon dance. The kids go to different places to do their dragon dance. They go to temples. They go to festivals. The kids have fun dancing! People have fun watching!
