Snowpack feeding Box Elder County’s water systems remains below normal as the region approaches the April 1 benchmark used to gauge spring runoff and summer supply. In its February Water Supply Outlook Report, the Natural Resources Conservation Service described Utah’s snowpack as being in “record-poor condition,” noting that statewide snow water equivalent had fallen to 56% of the historical median by early February and that there is “only about a 10% chance of reaching a normal snowpack peak this winter.” According to the NRCS, Utah’s snowpack hit a record low at the end of January, with statewide snow water equivalent...Article Link
