Let yourself move around a bit,  Releasing any tension and shaking off the day, And then exhale as you surrender to that final, comforting sleeping position.  PAUSE… Breathe… Bringing your attention inward, Away from your work,  Your family and friends, Your stresses,  Even your dreams. Let them all float away as your attention finds the sacred rhythm of your breath. PAUSE… Breathe… You do not have to do anything to connect with your divinity, You do not need to be anything more.  You are divine. Just as you are right now. Beautiful. Magical. So special.  PAUSE... So just BE, And rest in your wholeness, Your oneness, Your aliveness. Breathe...and be. PAUSE… The divine is here. Present and waiting for the layers of your ego to dissolve.  The ego who wants to organize and make sense, Who wants to worry about all the details, Who wants to stay small and safe, Who wants to be right and make wrong. PAUSE… The ego is not you.  So relax deeper into your bed as you imagine the sands of ego blowing away in the breeze, Slowly clearing a space to reveal your divinity. PAUSE… The winds die down as all the grains of ego have been blown away. You feel the rush of warm, comforting energy pulsating inside of you, And all around you.  Here you are peacefully unattached from it all,  And also deeply connected to love.  Be here, And let your body melt into its warmth. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
