Carpenters recorded this song in 1970 and it instantly became a Christmas classic, still played today at the holiday season. With Karen Carpenter being one the most influential vocalists to my development, I had always dreamed of meeting her. Of course, that was cut short by her passing away in 1983. Fast forward to 2015, when I decided it would be fun to try & match up my recording of this song with hers. However, even though the songs were recorded in the same key, the tempos were off a bit. Painstakinly, I digitally altered the Carpenters version and mixed them to where I could get a workable "duet" together. Please feel free to visit my YouTube channel to see a short "video" where I give a quick phone call to heaven, to make "a special wish" for a det with Karen, so to speak.
