Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz wird am heutigen Mittwoch seine erste Regierungserklärung im Parlament abgeben. Es ist sein erster Auftritt dort, nachdem er bei der Kanzlerwahl am Dienstag vergangener Woche erst im zweiten Wahlgang die erforderliche Mehrheit an Stimmen erhalten hat. Entgegen ihrer generellen asylpolitischen Linie hat die US-Regierung unter Donald Trump 59 weißen Landwirten aus Südafrika Asyl gewährt.
