But she fell in the third round, while US Open champion Samantha Stosur was beaten by Maria Kirilenko in the second round. Meanwhile, Donald Young, Gael Monfils and Andy Murray made the final four at the Thailand Open, and Kei Nishikori upset Nicolas Almagro in Malaysia. On the other side of the world, Novak Djokovic made a UNICEF visit to a Serbian pre-school.
