Opposition parties in South Africa, the Democratic Alliance and the EFF enjoyed a resounding victory in the country's Constitutional Court. The highest court of the country not only affirmed the powers of the Public Protector, but it also declared that the President and the National Assembly's acted in breach of their constitutional obligations. This relates to their handling of the Public Protectors 2014 report into upgrades to the Presidents' Nkandla home. The court described the judgement as of monumental importance to the nation and wellbeing of the country's constitutional democracy. Candice Nolan reports
