Parashat Haazinu en Inglés

from Efrayimbenshalom

A lot of the Torah portion Haazinu (Hear) is made up of a 70-line song that Moses spoke to the Israelites on the last day of his life. Moshe calls upon heaven and earth as witnesses, urging the people to remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations, and ask their fathers and elders how Elohim found them in a desert land, made them a people, chose them for himself, and bequeathed to them a beautiful land. The Power of Teshuva.HaKadosh BaruchHu often refers to the people of Israel as "the worm of Jacob." the sages ask: Why are we called worms? The worm has power in its mouth, so every one of us has power in our words. "Bara ke adavera" – we can create through our words. How will the future of all the children of Israel be shaped? It's all down to what we say. The word in Hebrew is "Davar," with the plural being "Devarim" (words). The word Devarim comes from Leavir, which means "to transfer". The words transfer the infinite Light of Boré Olam to this physical reality. That's why the prophet says, "Take words for yourselves and return to HaShem." The key to teshuvah is to admit your mistakes. To repent and get closer to HaKadosh BaruchHu there are two things you need to do: 1) Prayer 2) Return
