PREMIERE : Sonic Juncture - XDimensional

Following their successful releases on Chequered Wax, Fresh Take Records and Andras Records, Bristol & Brighton based duo Sonic Juncture, comprised of Josh Twigge-Molecey & George Protheroe, share their latest EP 'Planetary Pursuit' with Westival Records. Their opening track, 'XDimensional' hits us with an attention-grabbing sub bass that continues throughout, with a variety of synth textures and a running bassline to take the listener on a spook-filled, trancey journey from beginning to end. The second track on the EP 'Thursday Groove' is driven by a rubbery bassline, jazzy chords, and crisp percussion. The track cruises through rich synth textures and subtle atmospheres, striking a perfect balance between laid-back groove and dancefloor intent. 'Find My Way' teases us with delayed, garage-like vocals and a mixture of energetic percussion combined with an arpeggiated bass, synthy riffs and tambourine sounds for the track's duration. In true alignment with the EP's title, 'Planetary Pursuit' (Dub Mix) forms a progressive banger starting with saw tooth synth riffs and an 80s style snare, which make way for a groovy bass synth at the drop. The soulful vocals (Vocal Mix), saxophone reverbs and pipe-like synth throughout add further layers of differentiation to a chaotic yet atmospheric floor-stomper.
