Good morning,Ridgway is getting a boost for outdoor recreation after receiving a 40-thousand-dollar grant for a new public boat launch along the Clarion River. Borough officials say the accessible launch at the Ridgway Riverfront could help attract more visitors, anglers, and kayakers to Elk County, with construction expected to begin this summer.Meanwhile, Lawrence Township supervisors in Clearfield County are moving forward with plans to restart their own police department if the Clearfield Regional Police Department dissolves at the end of the year. Supervisors also voted to appoint current Assistant Chief Julie Curry as chief of the new department if it’s re-established.And a Brockway woman is facing felony drug charges after police say she was found allegedly driving under the influence of fentanyl in Elk County. Investigators say Dana Nicole Thomas was stopped in Ridgway after reports of an erratic driver, and officers allegedly found suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
