          THE STATE TREASURER’S REFUSAL TO PAY FOR SECURITY UPGRADES TO GOVERNOR JOSH SHAPIRO’S HOME HAVE RESULTED IN A RESPONSE.           RADIO NOVO'S TORY GATES REPORTS, FROM OUR HARRISBURG STUDIO:_________________________          THE MATTER INVOLVES APPROXIMATELY ONE MILLION DOLLARS TO IMPROVE SECURITY AT THE GOVERNOR’S FAMILY HOME IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY. STATE POLICE HAVE APPROVED THE USE OF PUBLIC FUNDS FOR THESE UPGRADES, BUT TREASURER STACY GARRITY REFUSED.           GARRITY, WHO IS RUNNING AGAINST SHAPIRO FOR THE GOVERNOR’S OFFICE, SAYS HER OFFICE DOES NOT HAVE THE LEGAL AUTHORITY TO PAY FOR THE RENOVATIONS. A STATEMENT SIGNED BY FORMER GOVERNORS TOM WOLF, TOM CORBETT, ED RENDELL, TOM RIDGE AND MARK SCHWEIKER CALLED FOR LAWMAKERS TO ENSURE THE FIRST FAMILY’S SAFETY, AND THAT SUCH ISSUES SHOULD NOT BE POLITICIZED. I’M TG, RADIONOVO NEWS.A man is dead after a bicycle accident in Carbon County Monday morning.  Police say the man was killed when his bicycle crashed along Route 209 in Jim Thorpe shortly before 7 a.m.  He has not been identified.  Authorities are investigating. Williamsport police are investigating a shooting Monday afternoon.  The department says two men were found with gunshot wounds on the 600 block of Green Street, with one of them admitting to being the shooter.  Both men were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.  Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Williamsport P-D.  Monroe County authorities are identifying a man who died in a work-related accident last week.  County officials said 56-year-old Jason Singer was killed while working in a wooded area near Route 611 in Pocono Township on Wednesday.  Singer reportedly died of blunt force injuries, but no other details have been released.  The investigation is ongoing. A man is facing charges after Harrisburg police say he stabbed another man while both of them were panhandling at a gas station.  Authorities said 55-year-old Adrian Fluellen was seen on surveillance video stabbing a man who had just received money from someone who was pumping gas at the City Gas and Diesel on State Street last Saturday.  The victim was treated for an injury to his wrist.  The work continues to restore power at Shippensburg University following a campus-wide outage.  Officials say crews are making progress and they hope to conduct testing today to confirm that power is fully restored.  The outage started over the weekend after a fire at an on-campus electrical substation.  The university has yet to say if in-person classes will resume on Wednesday.
