On this evening’ show we’ve got some dreamy songs, some hello and good-bye songs, and we’ll celebrate a couple of birthdays. Enjoy the show! Here’s the complete playlist: Segment 1: OneiricWe’re going to start off with a vocabulary lesson. The word for this week is oneiric, an adjective meaning of or relating to dreams or “dreamy” as in The misty garden setting and odd dialogue gave the film an oneiric quality.” So here to begin the program are some oneiric songs. Obviously, that didn’t take. Thomas Edison thought that ““hello”” would be a more appropriate greeting, so here are some “hello” songs to commemorate Thomas Edison’s suggestion to use “hello” instead of “ahoy” when answering the telephone. You know her better as Julia Child, America’s first lady of cooking. So here in celebration of Julia Child’s birthday, are some songs about cooking.
