Remembering Jack Hoffman, a Nebraska hero

Jack Hoffman, the 19-year-old college student, Nebraska football fan and longtime fighter against pediatric brain cancer, passed away on Wednesday in Atkinson, Neb. We take this episode to remember his iconic moment at the 2013 Nebraska spring game and to discuss Jack’s legacy and impact on so many in this state and beyond. Jack formed a bond with Rex Burkhead, the former Nebraska running back, that kicked off Jack’s public introduction. From there, he won an ESPY. He met the president of the United States. He served as the grand marshal of the Nebraska homecoming parade.
