Romans 5:3-6 - Suffering Hope and Love

from Pastor Mike Impact Ministries · host Michael L Grooms

Today, Friday January 29 – Romans 5:3-6 – I would think that everyone would want to live a life that is fulfilling!  A life that experiences true peace, joy, happiness, love and hope!  I believe that this is available to anyone and everyone who truly seeks and desires it.  And it appears that everyone is, in some way or another, looking for this kind of a life.  But the problem is, that most of us are looking for it in all the wrong places and in all the wrong ways.  This life of peace and joy can only be found in an intimate relationship with the God who created us. And God’s way, into this restored union with Himself, is by the process of “justification.”  This will and can only happen when we believe, trust and accept God’s gift of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ, who paid the price for our sins.  As I have said before, the blessings and benefits of justification are endless and eternal! Verse 6 of this passage gives us the source of this great hope: “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.” When we come to the end of ourselves, our attempts of trying to save ourselves with our religion, our rituals, our good deeds, and recognize our great weakness, it is then we humbly look up to the cross of Jesus Christ, that we will experience the great love of God and His salvation!  If you have already come into this relationship with God and presently are enjoying the benefits of this “justification”, be grateful and thankful, and then go and tell someone else about it!  God bless!
