RONNIE'S DEAD

from L3DLP plays music sometimes · host L3DLP

Saturday, June, oh-four, Reagan died — close the door. Saint Ronnie, hero? Hell no — Just a B-movie horror show. Thatcher cried, "the man I adore!" We puked and yelled, "No more, no more!" From Hollywood snitch to Capitol rat, He sold his soul — and that was that. Raise your flags and burn your lies, Saint Peter won’t sanitize! He made the poor more poor, the rich more fat — Now tell me, who’s proud of that? Ray-Bans, limos, blood and blow — That's the gospel of Ronnie’s show! He fell for Joe McCarthy’s charm, With blacklist kisses, he did harm. Snitched for the FBI with pride, While justice took a nosedive slide. Disney smiled, Wayne gave a cheer, "Let’s purge the reds, make it clear!" A tattletale in a cowboy hat, Worse than Nixon — imagine that! Bridge (spoken with distortion) He sold arms to Saddam and Iran, Funded Contras with a bloody plan. Crack in the hood, budget in flames, But hey — at least he knew his lines in frame. Raise your fists, let history rot, He forgot — but we did not! Coke in suits, bombs in sand, He shook every bloody hand. Star Wars skies and deficit tides, Reagan rode while the empire died! From ‘66, the golden gate, Elected with an otter’s brainwave state. Bush and Marchais down the line, Rode his coattails, drank his wine. Alzheimer’s took him out the door, He forgot, then we did more. Reaganolatry spread like plague, Truth erased in fog and vague. Raise your flags and watch them burn, History ain’t your page to turn. He smiled while missiles flew, This anthem’s for the ones he screwed. From crack to cash, from war to sin, The punk hymn ends — let chaos begin!

The stigma of mental health within those who serve in the shadow of the cross is something that invokes the stigma of fear. Many of those in the clergy will choose to suffer in their despair rather than reaching out for help. Sometimes those suffering choose to wait until it's too late to get the real help that they need. At Wounded Warriors of the Cross our mission is to lift the stigma and the veil of silence that encompasses clergy mental health and assist those who suffer in silence. Wounded Warriors of the Cross is here to shed the light of Christ's love into those dark places.
