My guests today are from Mendu, a community created for women and by women.  Mendü is a Woman-of-Colour founded company. A space that helps you do wellness in a way that works for you. They teach you to take out all the unappealing parts of therapy and keep only the parts that make you feel good. Their goal is to make investing in mental & emotional wellbeing as vibrant and fun as the women they engage. Mendü are hosting a wellness event teaching people how to go from surviving to thriving on the 21st of February at 6.30pm at Redbull Studios in Covent Garden. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
