Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz (SPD) stellt am heutigen Montag im Bundestag die Vertrauensfrage, damit es bald Neuwahlen geben kann. Um die Vertrauensfrage zu gewinnen und im Amt zu bleiben, bräuchte er eine Mehrheit von mindestens 367 Ja-Stimmen. Die Stimmen der verbliebenen Regierungsfraktionen SPD und Grüne allein würden dafür nicht reichen, zumal die Grünen angekündigt haben, sich zu enthalten. Wie sich die AfD bei der Abstimmung verhalten könnte und es bis zur geplanten Neuwahl am 23. Februar weitergeht, erklärt Politikredakteurin Katharina Schuler. Im französischen Avignon beginnt heute der letzte Prozesstag im Fall Gisèle Pelicot. Das Urteil soll nach insgesamt rund 70 Verhandlungstagen am Donnerstag gesprochen werden. Der Prozess ist beispiellos: 51 Männer sind angeklagt, Gisèle Pelicot vergewaltigt zu haben, allen voran ihr Ehemann Dominique Pelicot, der sie über ein Jahrzehnt hinweg betäubt und anderen Männern zur Vergewaltigung angeboten hat.
