Scripture Has Ultimate Authority(Matt 14)
What does the Bible teach us about what has the ultimate authority? In Matthew 15 the Lord Jesus is confronted by the religious leaders of his day because His disciples were not following the tradition of the elders. Jesus' response tells us about God's call on us regarding how to resolve conflicting claims. Jesus upholds God's Law-word as the standard by which we measure claims. During the time of the Reformation this principle was called Sola Scriptura: the Scriptures alone are the only infallible rule for faith and practice. -Jeff Durbin- December 3, 2017
