SFS Minute 934: Long Term Thinking

Amateurs and professionals do things differently, and amateurs need to learn from the professionals and improve their skill sets. I've given you five ways this week that professionals are different from amateurs. I hope you have been keeping score to determine what areas you need to work on and how to improve your skill sets. I'll introduce the last trait of professionals right after this. Amateurs focus on short-term outcomes. They don't think about the long term, whereas professionals consider future consequences, short-term decisions, and long-term implications. It's an entirely different way of thinking. Professionals protect their future positions and realize that longevity is built on deliberate choices with clear outcomes.
