今回は、ロシアのウクライナ侵攻で、ドイツで化石燃料の使用が増えそうな状況下、再注目されている家畜の糞尿で化合するバイオマスプラントの話題を紹介しました。欧米で注目されている再生可能エネルギー。その源となる牧場、日本では値上げの影響で需要減少の場合、牛の淘汰という厳しく苦しい現状を説明しました。またスタジオには、北海道大学大学院農学研究院・連携研究部門融合研究分野・特任教授の小林泰男先生をお迎えしました。小林先生が研究されている「牛の胃」から地球温暖化と食糧危機を同時に改善していくプロジェクトの内容。抗生物質でなく天然素材、胃内でメタンを発生させる細菌だけ弱体化させる「カシューナッツ殻液」の効果について詳しく教えて頂きました。小林先生には、次回11/20もご出演して頂きます。
