In this verse, John saw the horses (mortal armies) and horsemen (evil spirits) with breastplates of fire, jacinth, and brimstone and out of their mouths issued fire, smoke, brimstone. All these symbols show that Armageddon will be a holy war that will accomplish the purposes of God through evil instrumentalities.
