Thank you Stephen Panus for joining me today on The Born To Talk Radio Show Podcast.

Meet Stephen Panus.

Stephen Panus has been a publicist, sports agent, artist, attorney, sports marketing executive, and motivational speaker. He’s represented an NFL Pro Bowl player and Super Bowl champion, a multiple-time winner of the Indianapolis 500 and a “Dancing with the Stars” champion. He has also represented international star tennis players, and serves as president of The Jockey Club’s America’s Best Racing brand. Yet, the only title that’s ever mattered to him has been being a father to his two boys, Jake and Liam.

When his elder son, Jake, was tragically and suddenly killed as a passenger in a reckless car crash at the tender age of sixteen in the summer of 2020, Stephen’s life imploded. Seeking to both survive and move forward, he wrote Walk On to confront his daily agony and inspire a renewed and resilient faith in living and regaining purpose.

Walk On

Get ready, Stephen is set to release his book, Walk On on April 16th about his experience coping with grief surrounding Jake’s death. He helps show others how they can handle grief when faced with some form of suffering or adversity. It is available for preorder now.

The book chronicles Panus’ push to create two scholarships in his son’s memory.  One is for a walk-on athlete on the football team at the University of South Carolina from Stephen’s alma mater.  The other for graduating students from a K-12 school located in the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Here is the link for his scholarships.

The cover of his book is a FANTASTIC story you won’t want to miss!

Stephen’s Takeaways.

From the depths of darkness and his greatest loss, emerges an intimate, candid and raw story of a father’s search for meaning in the face of grief and adversity. Walk On is an emotionally powerful book about love, loss, and life. It transcends grief and offers inspiration toward leading a purposeful life filled with kindness, compassion, and service. “We all suffer in some manner and no matter what happens or how it happens, we all must Walk On in our lives.”

In Closing.

Here are a couple of favorite quotes from Stephen:

Aldous Huxley: “Experience isn’t what happens to a man, it is what a man does with what happens to him.”

Businessman W. Clement Stone, who lived to 100 years of age, once said: “There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.”

Tune in to hear Stephen’s inspiring story of hope !
